After my disappointment with Ghost Story, and my lackluster feelings about Cold Days, this was the Harry Dresden book I've been wanting. It is 100% pure fun. Lots of great character moments. Plenty of action and adventure. A plot that basically boils down to Epic Evil Bank Heist. And it still manages to tie together both old and new threads with far more art than the previous book. What's not to love? It felt like all the setup and world building Butcher has been leaning on so heavily the past two books has finally started paying off, and I'm excited to roll forward with the series. If you've been missing old school Dresden this book should take you to your happy place.
