If I had to pick one word to describe The Method it would be Abstract. Or Experimental. This book works around a complex theme, focusing on the personification of the Method. I have my own ideas about what I believe the Method is, but I think this is one of those questions without a single definitive answer. Indeed the meaning seems to shift and change from poem to poem. This collection was interesting to read on an intellectual level, with plenty of good language. It fell short for me personally because I prefer my poetry less academic and more...earthy. I prefer more emotion and less decrypting, but I know many people this collection would appeal to. If poetry as thought experiment appeals to you try this book out.
