Tuf Voyaging: Or 80s sci-fi serial fiction by George R.R. Martin

Tuf Voyaging - George R.R. Martin

This is a selection of short stories, written between 1976 and 1986, which have been assembled into a collection. The stories revolve around a central character, Tuf, and his adventures aboard an uber powerful seedship, the Arc. In each story you visit a new world, with a new problem, and watch as Tuf "helps" in his own unique way. One of the things I liked about this book was also one of the downfalls - it has that distinct (and for me nostalgic) 80s sci-fi feel. If you are in the mood for older serial sci-fi you'll likely enjoy this. If you want a more cohesive and tight story, you might want to pass. All in all this is a light and quick read, even if it wasn't one I completely bought into.
