The Dark and Hollow Places
This is the third book in a trilogy, and once again we get a totally new main character. And also once again I was somewhat nervous about the transition and need not have been. Ryan knows how to capture an atmosphere and tell a story. In some ways this was my least favorite of the three, and in other ways it was far and away my favorite. It kept me on edge until the very last page, and it had one of the creepiest scenes I have ever read. I am simultaneously relieved to finally be able to set down these brutal heart destroying books, and yet I am also sad to leave behind one of the most compelling worlds I've read about in recent times. Looking forward to seeing what Ryan tackles next.
