This book really captured the hells of eating disorders and the author didn't pull any punches. The pathology was spot on and heart wrenching. At the same time I felt like this wanted to be two separate books. The fantasy side of the story just didn't mesh well with the realistic drama half for me, and I'm not sure why. While this book wasn't really for me I *would* recommend it to teens who struggle with eating disorders or body image, or know someone who does.
