Catching Fire

Catching Fire - Suzanne Collins

The first half of this book actually underwhelmed me, as I felt like the characters were playing catch-up from what seemed pretty clear to me. That said, I understand why the book was built the way it was. It suffers a bit from Second Act syndrome, and I forgive it - in essence it's a book made to set up another book. And I really did enjoy the second half covering the Quarter Quell. By the end I was reinvested and all stoked to read the third and final installment. In the words of a friend and scholar: It is SO on now.
