The Handmaid's Tale
I really don't have words for how this book made me feel. The emotions are too varied and complex. I'll keep it simple and say that I'm glad I decided to read this now, at a time when women and feminism seem very much to be under attack. I want to press it into the hands of everyone currently involved in the debates regarding women's reproductive rights - both those for and against. It's an important contribution to the dialogue.
