Fire Touched: Mercy Thompson #9
I love this series, and I love Mercy. I failed to love this book, unfortunately, but I don't hold it against the series at all. One of the things that comes along with investing in a long running series is every once in a while you will get a book that feels like it's setting the stage for the next big act. That's how this one felt to me. Lots of politics and introducing new characters, while tying up a few loose ends from previous stories. While there were some great action scenes, and interesting set-pieces, it never quite felt like much happened. Perhaps just my opinion. I continue to love this series regardless, and look forward to seeing where the new developments introduced in this book lead the story in the future.
