Raising Stony Mayhall
This book, oh yes. You must read this book. Is it my favorite book of all time? No, but damn did I appreciate it wholeheartedly. And I'm not even a zombie fan.
I loved the voice, the allegory, the characters, the world, really pretty much everything. This book was one of those rare reads that sucked me in completely with the pacing and storytelling, and yet also had the chops to make me think and toy around with Big Questions. If you're on the fence about this one because you don't usually go in for horror novels I encourage you to give it a shot. And if zombies actually *are* your thing I doubt this will disappoint.
